Project summary
Year 3 had the opportunity to be immersed into the world of theatre as they went to see the Little Prince. The children were then able to experience workshops provided by the actors of the Little Prince.

Protein Dance
Provided the opportunity for the children to watch their performance at
the Carnegie Rooms in Thetford.
The actors then came and provided workshops for the children of
Drake Primary and Diamond Academy.
Art Workshops
Arts lead at Drake was able to provide a workshop for the children of
Drake Primary and Diamond Academy.
Children created a combined piece of art using a variety of resources and mediums
Outcomes
The children had an incredible time watching the performance and they were able to engage in different parts of the theatre. Staff noted that some children have never been to the theatre before and this was a first experience for them.

Some had never experienced the theatre before meaning this was a very important experience for them.
Children said they were “amazed” at what they saw!
Children had the opportunity to be exposed to new professions.
Everyone engaged well with the workshops and they were able to learn new art, drama and creative skills.
